French Immersion in Languedoc

When you learn a new language, acquiring the basics is essential. Taking a class will do that for you. But while traveling, being able to ask a native for directions does not mean you will understand the answer; likewise, being able to read a menu does not mean you will be able to converse with a waiter and understand his/her explanation. This skill comes with prolonged exposure to the language and to real-life interactions. This is what my French immersion program will do for you!

Designed for you to improve your language skills, my 5-day French immersion program offers French intensive courses, cultural activities, and regular interaction with French natives in real-life situations.

My French immersion program also includes two excursions where we will visit a destination of your choice, such as Béziers or Narbonne.

My French immersion program runs from Monday morning to Friday evening. On our first morning together (Monday), we will create your schedule for the week. The program is entirely tailored to your needs, so you may choose to experience more cultural activities and less formal training, more conversation and less grammar, or more visits of the area…

The day starts with breakfast between 8:00 and 9:00am, after which we begin our 3 hours of language training. Then, we will have lunch together, in French!

In the afternoon, you can spend your free time hiking, biking, or lounging by the pool. Or you can go out, meet new people and mingle!

On Wednesday and on Friday afternoons, we will go on an excursion together, to a destination of your choice. 

The program offers a great degree of flexibility, so if one day you select an activity you would rather do in the morning, formal classes can be switched to the afternoon. If you do not wish to do formal classes, we can replace them with conversation or activities.
